Usability: High value proposition for successful e-governance in India

This paper was presented at the CAUE (Advances in Usability Engineering ) 2008 Conference in Pune in the month of November 2008.

It presents an approach of using Usability Engineering principles for success in egovernance projects. This approach is supported by a case study of projects applied successfully in Pune Municipal Corporation.

I have tried to present the current scenario in e-governance, issues faced while dealing with government agencies, the issues faced in dealing with the development teams and the probable solutions to overcome these.
